Something From Your Past Is Still Affecting You

Trauma, grief, and healing

Sometimes we move through difficult experiences and tell ourselves we should be “over it” by now.

But the truth is that our experiences shape us. The relationships we have had, the environments we grew up in, and the moments that caused us pain can continue to influence how we see ourselves, connect with others, and respond to the world around us.

Maybe you have experienced trauma, abuse, loss, difficult relationships, or painful experiences that still feel present in your life. Maybe you notice patterns you do not understand, strong emotional reactions, difficulty trusting others, or feeling disconnected from yourself.

Healing does not mean forgetting what happened or pretending it did not matter. It means creating space to understand your experiences, develop compassion for yourself, and begin moving forward in a way that feels healthier and more intentional.

Using a warm, collaborative approach, I work with clients to explore the impact of past experiences while building new tools for coping, connection, and healing. I am also trained in EMDR therapy, an evidence-based approach that can help individuals process distressing experiences and reduce the emotional impact they continue to have.

“Slow down. Calm down. Don’t worry. Don’t hurry. Trust the process.”
